5 Things: Holiday Shopping, Meeting Tonight and the End of Prohibition

Today is the 79th anniversary of the day speakeasies lost their usefulness.

1. Children's Holiday Shoppe. Today is the day for kids to shop for their family members at the 25th Annual Children's Holiday Shoppe. The shoppe will be open from 2:30 p.m.-5 p.m. and there's plenty to keep adults occupied while their kids shop.

2. Holiday Open House. It's time to enjoy an evening out at Moodz Salon and Spa. Free samples, makeup demonstrations and lots more will be part of the festivities.

3. Meeting Tonight. The Surface Water Quality Committee is meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. Check out the agenda.
