5 Things: Finnerty's Before DRB, Children's Poetry and Mona Lisa Goes Home

A few things you need to know on Dec. 12, 2012, in Wayland.

1. Design Review Board Meeting. The developers of the Finnerty's site at 150 Main Street will meet with the Design Review Board tonight to discuss revised plans for the development. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. at the town building.

2. Additional Meeting. The Energy Initiatives Advisory Committee is also scheduled to meet today. This group will convene at 7:30 p.m. in the town building.

3. Children's Poetry. Children's librarian Pam McCuen will guide children through a time of listening to, reading and writing poetry.

5. Something to Smile About. On this date in 1913, Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting "Mona Lisa" was found inside waiter Vincenzo Peruggia's hotel room in Florence. Peruggia had once worked at the Louvre and had participated in a heist while there. The painting of the coyly smiling woman had been missing for more than two years.
