Whole Foods Market Joins with Project Bread to Raise Money for the Hungry this Holiday Season

Whole Foods Market is joining with Project Bread this December to provide for people in need. Through Whole Foods Market’s “Give Bread” program, shoppers can add $2 or $5 donation coupons to their grocery bill to help children and families struggling to put food on the table and eat healthy during the holidays.

“We are so grateful for the extra support from Whole Foods Market and their customers this holiday season,” says Ellen Parker, executive director of Project Bread. “When we all work together, we can accomplish so much more toward our goal of ending hunger and ensuring everyone in Massachusetts has access to fresh, healthy foods all year ‘round.”

Each person who donates money through “Give Bread” at the Whole Foods Market in Wayland will be supporting local programs. Project Bread funds 365 community food programs in 110 communities across Massachusetts. One of these programs is in the Wayland and Lincoln area, which is the Food Project’s Food Donations.

“At Whole Foods Market, we believe being part of a community means being an active neighbor and that true community transcends the boundaries of our towns and cities,” said Laura Derba, regional president. “That is why we’re proud to contribute to those in need throughout the region through Project Bread this holiday season.”
