TEACH. PLAY. LEARN. consists of imagining, building and playing with the TINKERTOY line of age-appropriate toys in celebration of The Goddard School’s partnership with TINKERTOY. The campaign seeks to sharpen the 21st century skills that children are developing through the process of participation. The Goddard School located in Wayland, MA will be holding an Open House for children, local families, faculty and the community to participate. During this Open House, children will take part in the 21st Century Skills Build Challenge, a fun contest through which children will be asked to come up with a new invention that solves a problem. Children will work together, in their designated "Build Stations", to create stories about how these inventions will work and schools will submit their invention concept for a contest on The Goddard School National Facebook Page, which will take place from Monday, February 24 until Monday, March 3 at 5:00 PM EST. Winners will be announced on March 4, 2014.

"We are thrilled to highlight The Goddard School’s commitment to developing 21st century skills in children as well as engage our community in discussions about the importance of learning these skills at an early age," said Reem Hassani, on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Wayland, MA. "To succeed in school and in life, children will need to be well-equipped with these 21st century skills. TEACH. PLAY. LEARN. is an important part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that children have fun while learning the skills they need for long-term success in school and in life."

The Goddard School is the first preschool program that is a member of the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21). P21 was founded in 2002 as a coalition bringing together the business community, education leaders, and policymakers to position 21st century readiness at the center of US K-12 education and to kick-start a national conversation on the importance of 21st century skills for all students. The Goddard School feels strongly that a partnership with P21 and the integration of these skills in the F.L.EX.® Learning Program is the right thing to do for the children, the economy and the democracy ensuring that all children are ready to succeed in school, careers and life in the 21st century.
