The Wayland Farmers' Market Ushers in Summer

The Wayland Summer Farmers' Market kicked off on June 26.

With a new -- OK, revisited -- location, the Wayland Summer Farmers' Market is the front and center Wednesday afternoon attraction on Route 20.

The market opened on June 26 at Russell's Garden Center and will continue weekly until October. This year, the market returns to its original location in front of Russell's thanks to Route 20 improvements related to Wayland Town Center.

On July 3, a few die-hard vendors set up shop in the soupy air for what Market Manager Peg Mallett called, "a mini-market." She said a number of vendors pulled out for the day-before-a-holiday market, but she's counting on 16 or more vendors for the July 10 market.

Check out some of the images from "mini-market" and plan now to attend next week's market on Wednesday, July 10 from noon to 5 p.m.
