On Saturday, Sept. 8, Wayland resident Steve Gilbert brought his rare vehicle to Herb Chambers’ "Cars & Coffee” event at .

The early morning meet up showcased classic, vintage and specialty cars from all over New England, including Gilbert's 1959 Porsche 356 Convertible D, one of only 1,331 made.

The event invites car enthusiasts gather at the dealership, showcasing their own "pride and joys" while admiring the prized cars of other automotive fanatics, according to a press release.

"Chambers has always looked to gather people who are passionate about cars in one location, grab a cup of coffee and exchange stories of what makes their unique car so special to them," the press release reads.
