Former Poet Laureate Visits for Wayland Reads Poetry

Robert Pinsky came to Wayland last weekend to officially kick off Wayland Reads Poetry.

Wayland was entertained March 24 by distinguished poet Robert Pinsky.

Pinsky served an unprecedented three terms as Poet Laureate of the United States, and is currently poetry editor of Slate magazine.

A turnout of several hundred poetry fans at Wayland Middle school heard Pinsky extol the merits of poetry in contemporary society.
