What to Do With Your Yard Waste in Wayland

The leaves must be brought to the town's transfer station.

Wondering how to dispose of your yard waste?

In Wayland, residents can dispose of their yard waste at the Wayland Transfer & Recycling Center.

With a "recycle only" permit, leaves and grass can taken to the transfer station. Leaves, which are accepted, should be placed in a designated container and not bags.

With a full disposal permit, brush and bulky waste is allowed, according to transfer station director Donald Gladu. Brush and stumps are accepted in the brush section of the facility, according to Gladu. Wood is accepted in the bulky waste section.

The transfer station's hours are Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
