Flooding Possible from Wednesday's Showers and Storms

Take precaution. These heavy rains will likely bring flooding.

Minor street flooding could occur with a line of heavy rain moving across Massachusetts, including the North Shore and greater Boston area, on Wednesday.

The showers and thunderstorms were moving northeast at 45 miles per hour, with rainfall rates of up to one inch per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Underpasses and other low-lying areas were especially prone to flooding, according to the weather service.

Drivers were also warned to slow down when visibility is lowered in heavy rain and to not drive through flooded areas.
