Wayland resident is Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps newly elected board member and an Embracing the Legacy event chair

WAYLAND, Mass. — John Boyle, a member of the board of directors at Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps will serve as an event chair for Embracing the Legacy, the agency’s premier annual gala that raises funds to support its programs. The agency, which is celebrating 45 years of service, is a national leader in developing and implementing model, successful child welfare and juvenile justice programs.

 

“Clearly, to be asked to Chair of such an important event and to distinguish these very deserving awardees, is very humbling indeed,” says Boyle.

Boyle has been a steadfast supporter of the agency and was selected to serve as a board member and an event chair based on his strong commitment to improving the lives of children across the Commonwealth. He serves on the board of trustees at The Walker School, Needham, Mass.; the Board of Directors at YouthLink, Boston; and on the Board of Overseers at Bay Cove Human Services, Boston and formerly served as the Board of Directors of the Nativity Prep School in Boston.

Boyle, an executive managing director principal at the commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley, is a nationally recognized industry leader in the area of tenant representation. With more than 28 years of real estate experience, he has been involved in numerous headquarter transactions in the Greater Boston market and has significant experience in the area of multi-market, portfolio-wide representation. He lives in Wayland, Mass. with his wife, Mary, and two children.

Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps operates a number of programs and services for at-risk children and families, including community based initiatives, residential treatment and juvenile justice programs, and partners with national organizations and state agencies to use proven methods and develop new ways to advance practices in the care of those most vulnerable, providing the tools and skills they need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Set for June 3, the agency’s annual Embracing the Legacy gala celebrates the legacy of the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the work of the organization founded to carry out his principles of social justice for the poor and disadvantaged. Boyle is joined by two other event chairs, James Geraghty, of Westford, Mass. and Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy III. American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is the event’s presenting sponsor.
