Megan Macdonald Joins Wayland/Weston Hockey As Assistant Coach

Head coach Kevin Cleary is pleased to announce that Megan Macdonald has joined the Wayland/Weston High Schools hockey team as assistant coach.   Macdonald is no stranger to the Wayland/Weston program having played in the  hockey team’s inagural season.   She was a multisport athlete at Wayland High School where, as a senior, she captained the soccer, hockey and lacrosse teams and was the Town Crier’s Female Athelte of the year.   A graduate of the University of Vermont,  MacDonald was four year standout and captain of the lacrosse team.   She was the first Catamount to be named Rookie of the Year and received America East All Conference and All Academic honors during her four years on the team.  MacDonald also coaches the Weston High School JV lacrosse team.

“We are pleased to have Megan with us”, said Cleary.  “Her knowledge of Wayland/Weston hockey coupled with her experience as an elite athlete will help us build competititve teams and grow the program.”
