Free Gospel Choir Workshop in Weston
Weston, Massachusetts – In November, the First Baptist Church of Weston (FBCW) kicked-off a series of Youth Art Workshops aimed at bringing creative change to local youth. The first workshop was a tremendous success with more than 30 children from Weston, Waltham and surrounding areas learning about healthy lifestyle choices, leadership skills and more through visual and performing arts. The second workshop will focus on Gospel music, will take place on Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19 – and is open to both youth AND adults, free-of-charge.
The Saturday, January 18th Gospel Workshop will be from 12pm-3pm, followed by a Gospel performance on Sunday, January 19th from 10am 11am. Both will take place at the First Baptist Church of Weston. All are welcome to participate, regardless of singing experience and faith.
“We had the pleasure of welcoming Tyrone and members of the Charles Street A.M.E. Church to perform at this year’s Golden Ball event – and we are thrilled to host their collaboration with our community’s youth and families,” stated FBCW Pastor, Frank Armstrong. “These workshops not only build skills, but also build community, build relationships and promote healthy lifestyle choices and faith. We look forward to continuing these great traditions.”
FBCW welcomes youth and adults from any community and any faith to participate. The Gospel Workshop is free to all. Registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
