School Committee Retreat, House Tour Tickets, Cranberries in Wayland

A few things you need to for Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 in Wayland.

1. The Wayland School Committee will convene at the Public Safety Building Thursday at 7 p.m. for a retreat to establish School Committee objectives for the 2013-14 school year. Click the link for the full agenda.

2. The Wayland Public Library will welcome children up to age 2.5 for Mother Goose Time Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

3. Tickets are now on sale for the Wayland 375 Five Century House Tour to be held on Sept. 21.

5. Year of Wayland History. In the 1800s, cranberries were harvested in Wayland's meadows and became a seasonable source of income for local farmers.
