Library Hours, Concert Tickets, Community Brewing Deadline and More

1. Remember that the Wayland Public Library is closed on Sundays throughout August. If you need to stop by, do it Friday or Saturday.

2. You can still buy tickets for the Rowan Brothers concert that will take place Saturday night in Vokes. More information and a link for tickets is here.

3. Wayland couple Lee and Karen Cooper are raising money via Kickstarter for their community brewery in Newton Corner. The deadline to support their effort is approaching.

5. Year of Wayland History. Wayland resident, Harold Russell (1914-2002), a World War II disabled veteran, became one of two non-professional actors to win an Academy Award for acting: Best Supporting Actor, 1947, The Best Years of Our Lives.
