Ice Cream, Paving Update, French Cooking and More
A few things you need to know in Wayland for Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
1. It's Ice Cream Bash day at the Wayland Public Library. Kids who participated in the summer reading program, "Dig Into Reading," are invited to the library for sundaes at 3:30 p.m.
2. Don't forget that the Wayland Town Building parking lot will be paved beginning this weekend. There will not be a disruption to services.
3. ICYMI. We have a collection of blogs that will make you smile as you gear up for the stress and hectic-ness of another school year.
4. Year of Wayland Trivia. Four Wayland men died in World War I. They are honored with tall metal signposts in the “Squares” that bear their names. See if you can find them.
5. Joyeux anniversaire, Julia Child! In honor of the famous chef's birthday, enjoy something tasty and French.
