Zoning Board Approves Habitat Project on Stonebridge Road

It's been awhile since we've talked about it, but things are moving forward with Wayland's Habitat for Humanity project.

Habitat for Humanity is getting closer to breaking ground on its four-unit project on Stonebridge Road in Wayland

It's been a long time in the making, but the Zoning Board of Appeals recently issued its approval decision for the project. The mandatory 20-day appeal period following the ZBA decision ends on May 22, according to Wayland's Building Department.

After that period, the project team can pick up the decision to file with the Registry of Deeds and apply for the necessary building permits.

The project will feature two duplexes -- or homes for four families -- when all is said and done.

The regional Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester chapter is heading up the Wayland project with help from a local team. According to the regional group's website, anyone wishing to get involved in some aspect of Wayland's project can contact Mary Antes at mantes2@verizon.net or Dan Sharry at Dan.Sharry@redfin.com
