Weekend Happenings: Eid Festival, Trivia and Rescue Dogs

Just a few picks to keep you entertained near home this weekend.

 

Eid Ul Fitr Festival

When/Where: Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Islamic Center of Boston, 126 Boston Post Road, Wayland.

Why Go: This is a free festival and the weather is forecast to be perfect. Plus, if you've never sampled food at an ICB event, you've missed out. This is your chance to try traditional Middle Eastern and Indian/Pakistani food with all your purchases supporting a good cause: Syrian families.

Price: Free admission

Legally Blonde the Musical

When/Where: Multiple showings at Wellesley Middle School, 50 Kingsbury Street, Wellesley.

Why Go: This enormously popular movie is now an enormously popular musical ... and the setting is pretty much in your backyard. This is Wellesley Theater Project production.

Price: $10, Adults; $5, Students and Seniors.

Buddy Dog Humane Society Open House

When/Where: Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Buddy Dog Humane, 151 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury.

Why Go: If you've been on a hunt for a new dog, this open house could be your lucky day. Stop by and see the improvements made at Buddy Dog since the last open house and you just might meet a furry friend for life

Price: Free

World Tavern Trivia

When/Where: Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Acton BowlaDrome, 257 Main St, Acton.

Why Go: You've been looking for something a bit different for a nice adult night out. Grab some friends, brush up on your trivia and maybe, just maybe, you'll walk away a World Tavern Trivia champ with prizes to show for it.
