Weather Delays Route 20 Intersection Re-Paving

The traffic lights will continue to run on timers until the work is complete.

The rainy forecast will delay the re-paving project at the intersection of Route 20 and Route 27.

Crews postponed work early Friday morning and plan to begin at again Saturday at 8 p.m., working through until 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The pattern of working overnght will continue, weather permitting, until 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, according to Highway Director Stephen Kadlik.

While crews work to re-pave the intersection, the traffic sensors that trigger the traffic lights will be non-functional. The lights will function on timers throughout the paving work.

Detours and police officers will be in place at the intersection during the overnight working hours.
