A 22-year-old woman was killed and a man was injured in a serious afternoon crash.

A 22-year-old Wayland woman died in a single car crash Saturday afternoon in Dennis.

Marina Keegan, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dennis Emergency Medical Services. The driver of the 1997 Lexus ES300, Michael Gocksch of Centerpoint, N.Y., was transported to Cape Cod Hospital. Gocksch, also 22, was listed in stable condition, according to an 11 p.m. state police press release. Both occupants were reportedly wearing seatbelts.

According to the press release, the crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m. when the car carrying Keegan and Gocksch was traveling eastbound on Route 6 in Dennis when it drifted off the road and into the right-side guardrail. The car then swerved back across the road and crashed into the left-side guardrail before rolling over at least twice and coming to rest in the road.
