Wayland Fire Chief Submits Notice of Retirement
Wayland Fire Chief Robert Loomer has informed Wayland officials of his intention to retire next year.
Wayland Fire Chief Robert Loomer his submitted his notice of retirement effective April 30, 2012.
Town Administrator Fred Turkington informed selectmen Sept. 22 of Loomer's retirement notice, according to the correspondence listed on the agenda for Monday night's Board of Selectmen meeting.
Loomer took the helm of the Wayland Fire Department following the 2003 retirement of Chief Michael T. Murphy.
