Traffic Alert: Portion of Old Sudbury Road Closed on Thursday

Plan your commute accordingly on Thursday, Oct. 24.

A potential traffic headache looms as crews plan to shut down Old Sudbury Road (Route 27) for most of the day on Thursday, Oct. 25.

Wayland Highway Director Stephen Kadlik said drainage work for Wayland Town Center will require a piece of equipment be installed in the roadway on Thursday. Crews plan to shut down Old Sudbury Road between Route 20 and Glezen Lane beginning at 9 a.m. Kadlik said he expects the road to remained closed throughout the day and into the evening commute.

Uniformed officers will be on-hand to direct traffic to the following detours:

  • Northbound traffic will be detoured via Training Field Road and Glezen Lane back out to Old Sudbury Road and into the town of Sudbury.
  • Southbound traffic will be detoured via Bow Road and Concord Road out to Route 20.
