The Dudley Pond Advisory Committee Invites Residents to a Charette
Is it a card game, a square dance or a something else altogether?
On June 27 at 6:30 p.m. the Dudley Area Advisory Committee hopes the public will head to the Town Building for a charette.
According to the agenda for the meeting, a "charette" is nothing more than a landscape planner's term for a community design meeting. (For a more detailed definition, check out the Wikipedia page for the term).
In this case, the charette has been called to allow the community an opportunity to "share ideas, visions and concerns regarding uses for the town land on Dudley Pond between Pond Drive and Doran Road."
Town Planner Sarkis Sarkisian along with representatives from environmental engineers Tighe and Bond and landscape architects Gates, Leighton and Associates will facilitate the meeting. The charette will include time for "discussion, suggestions, questions-and-answers, and an opportunity to examine and comment on conceptual plans depicting several different options for the site," according to the meeting's agenda.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) related to this project is available as a PDF with this article.
