Several Wayland Soccer Events are Coming

As spring gets into swing, soccer can return with a vengeance.

Wayland Area Youth Soccer (WAYS) has several events on the horizon geared toward soccer players of various ages and skill levels.

Throughout April and May PROformance Soccer Academy Director Miles Alden-Dunn and New England Revolution Captain Shalrie Joseph will host  specialized player development clinics for U9-U14 players.

U9 clinics will take place as part of eight regular practices (registration not required), and are geared toward both players and coaches.

U10-U14 clinics feature specialized goal keeper and attacker training for boys and girls. Players and coaches are encouraged to attend. There is no charge for these clinics, but registration is required.

Unfortunately, rain forced the cancellation of the U10-U14 PROformance clinic scheduled for Monday, April 23. The next clinic will be Thursday, April 26, weather permitting.

WAYS Night at the Revs

WAYS teams and coaches will head to the NE Revolution vs. Vancouver Whitecaps game on May 12, at 7:30 p.m.

Ten WAYS players will stand in the "high-five" tunnel as players enter the stadium, and 10 other players will be on the field during pre-game warm-up. WAYS players will be entered in a drawing for these two experiences at the time of ticket purchase.

Tickets are available from Reed Newton, reednewton@comcast.net. Group tickets (WAYS section/block of tickets) must be purchased by April 24. Tickets will be available until May 3, but after April 24 they may not all be in the same main WAYS section.
