Overnight Police Chase Results in Two Arrests

One juvenile male and a 17-year-old Natick man were arrested.

 

Early Friday morning, Wayland Police officers found themselves engaged in a chase and manhunt near the Wayland-Natick border that resulted in the arrest of two individuals.

According to the police log, Wayland Police attempted to pull over a vehicle at 3:19 a.m. with Massachusetts plates 969IKW. The driver pulled over, but when the vehicle stopped, the occupants ran away.

A Wayland Police log entry from May 27, 10:37 a.m., notes that a vehicle with matching plates was reclaimed by its owner from the Wayland Police Department where it was towed by State Road Auto Body following the overnight stop.

Police pursued the individuals who fled the vehicle and arrested one individual, a juvenile male, at 226 Commonwealth Road. The second individual remained at large.

Natick Police and the Massachusetts State K-9 unit were called to assist in locating the second individual. According to the Wayland Police log, Natick PD located the second individual, 17-year-old Cody Polchlopek, at 77 Pine Street, Natick, at 5:20 a.m., Friday.
 
Polchlopek, 14 Sunshine Ave., Natick, was also arrested.

The juvenile suspect was released to the custody of his parents, according to the log, and no charges for either individual have yet been released.
