Letter to the Editor,
I am writing in support of David Gordon Cliff for Board of Selectman. I believe Gordon’s unique combination of professional experience, critical thinking, community focus, and Wayland pride will serve the best interests of all Wayland residents.
When we chose to move to Wayland in 2002, we were looking for what many of our town residents were seeking – good schools, a sense of community, a commitment to recreation and open spaces – all of those things that make Wayland’s semi-rural character so special.
During the last decade, we have seen Wayland take on the challenges of building a new high school, renovating our town pool, breaking ground on Wayland Town Center and the ever increasing financial challenges of running a municipality.
If you experienced any of the late night voting sessions during town meetings, you know that we have labored together as a town to make great strides embracing the future of Wayland. Now we need to elect the right leaders to help us step confidently into that future. David Gordon Cliff is one of those leaders.
Gordon’s extensive experience as a management and financial consultant plus his recent experience serving on Wayland’s new Audit Committee give him a fresh perspective on the current state and future potential of our town. He is the right man for the job.
Please join me in supporting David Gordon Cliff at the polls on April 2.
Caren S. McVicker, Adams Lane
