House Fire Sends Three to Hospital
Three people were treated for minor burn-related injuries after a fire at a Wayland home Sunday afternoon.
Three people are being treated for what authorities are calling minor burn injuries, after a house fire at a Wayland home earlier Sunday afternoon.
Deputy Fire Chief Vinnie Smith said at about 4:20 p.m., the station received a call about a house fire at 21 Leary St. The fire was quickly knocked down by the first arriving company, said Smith.
Three people - a man, woman and child of approximately 10 years old - were treated at the scene for what Smith called minor burn injuries. Two were sent to Framingham Hospital and one to a Boston hospital. Smith could not specifiy which Boston hospital.
The injuries were not life-threatening, he said.
The cause of the fire and estimated damage are still being investigated, said Smith. The damage was limited to the house itself and did not spread to other buildings.
