A food delivery driver was transported to Boston Medical Center via Medflight Monday evening after a two-car motor vehicle accident in north Wayland.

Both cars left the roadway and traveled into an adjacent yard where they hit side-by-side trees, Sloan said.

Wayland Fire Capt. Bob Dorey said the type of accident and impact led emergency officials to have "concerns of potentially serious internal injuries” for the male driver. Medflight, therefore, was called and landed at about 7:30 p.m. in the athletic fields next to the Wayland Town Building.
