According to Det. Sgt. Jamie Berger, the accident that occured Monday morning resulting in entrapment of one driver, occurred when a driver traveling westbound on Route 30 (Commonwealth Road) either fell asleep or passed out and crossed into the eastbound lane.
The driver of a 2007 Chevrolet SUV pulled off the road into an emergency lane when he noticed an oncoming pickup, a 2010 Ford F150, crossing out of its lane. The driver of the pickup, however, crossed over far enough to hit the SUV, trapping the SUV's driver inside.
