In terms of health care, several committee members voiced that they wanted a single-payer system, meaning the government pays for citizens' health care.

While both Warren and Conroy showed their support and liking for such a system, Conroy said a single payer system was feasible neither politically nor economically.

A concern voiced by audience members was how much corporate campaign donations would influence the candidates' stances on popular issues. Warren said he would only accept donations from corporations who shared his philosophies. Conroy said he has never accepted corporate donations and hopes to keep it that way during his bid to be senator.
