The below is a press release.
This year's Relay For Life of Weston-Wayland will take place May 12 to 13 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Claypit Hill School in Wayland.
New this year, a Kids Tent will be open from 6 to 8:45 p.m. with all types of activities for children, including trick-or-treating at the campsites at 8 p.m.
The Opening Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and will celebrate and honor Survivors as they officially start Relay.
At 9 p.m., the Luminaria Ceremony takes place, which is a time we remember those who have lost their battles and walk a darken track illuminated only by the candle lit Luminaria Bags.
We hope you will join us as we Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back against this disease that has taken too much already.
For more information, check out the Relay website at www.RelayForLife.org/WestonMA or contact Rauseo.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life serves as a celebration for cancer survivors, a memorial for loved ones lost, and a community rally to fight cancer. During the event, at least one member of every team is asked to be walking on the track at all times – since cancer never sleeps, for one night, neither do we.
